The KVK has Soil macro nutrient analysis lab., Bio-agent production Unit, Small Scale Nursery, Vermi compost Unit, Mushroom Production Unit, Plant Health Clinic & e-connectivity facility. There are six staff quarters, farmer’s hostel and a well developed Agro- technology park. The 10.109. ha area under KVK out of which 6.87 ha area is covered by Mango Orchard.

 

 

Administrative Building

 

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has developed staff quarters and administrative building having farmers hostel, training hall, audio visual hall, soil & water analysis laboratory, computer rooms, laboratory for mushroom spawn & production of biological products, community radio station, & ERNET.

 

Soil and water testing Laboratory

 

This well equipped laboratory analyses soil & water samples at reasonable rates. Every soil sample is analyzed for six parameters such as pH, Electric Conductivity, Organic Carbon, available Nitrogen, available Phosphorus, & available Potassium, Exchangeable content.

KVK has soil and water testing samples for availing the facility at farmers' field.

 

Farmers Hostel

 

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has a farmer's hostel that can accommodate more than 125 farmers at a time. The facilities are also available on nominal charges to outside farmers during vocational training.

It is also equipped with a generator.

 

Green House and Shade House

 

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has constructed one green houses which are naturally ventilated. They are meant for cultivation of mango etc. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has one shade houses for nursery purpose.

 

Nurseries

 

The KVK has a government recognized nursery over area. Farmers can purchase grafts of Mango and vegetables nursery etc.

 

Laboratory for Production of Biological Products

 

This laboratory produces & provides different biological products such as mushroom spawn , biofertilizers, bio pesticides.

 

Community Radio Station

 

KVK operates a Community Radio Station called "Vallabh Krishak CRS". One can tune to 94.2 MHz frequency in order to listen to the programs of this station. The station can be heard within a range of 10-15 km from KVK Saharanpur. The station is dedicated to content development and delivery of agricultural, socialogical, environmental programs for farming community.

 

Farm

 

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Farm possesses 7.869 acres of land that is fully Mango and Guava orchard etc was undertaken.

 

Plant Health Clinic

 

In collaboration with the department of agriculture of Government of U.P, this Krishi Vigyan Kendra has established a plant health clinic that provides farm consultancy services of all types, free of cost to farmers. Farmers may visit us with their queries or write to us for guidance.

Diagnostic visits are also arranged to farmer's fields in case the problem needs further in field investigations.
