Entrepreneurship Development through Production and Marketing of Vegetable Seedlings
Three rural youth namely Sri. Rakesh & Sri. Sandeep from the KVK adoptedvillage Raniyala Dayalpur started vegetable nursery raising vocation after taking training from KVK.

The vegetable nursery farmers for sale of seedling from neighboring districts and also from Uttarakhand and Haryana visit the nursery on regular basis for purchasing quality seedlings. Within one year sale of vegetable nursery unit around 5,12,000 seedlings of different vegetables were sold and secured net income Rs. 3,87,950/- in a year (Oct., 2013 to May, 2014)
Establishment of Button Mushroom Units (Seasonal) During 2014-15
The KVK conducted vocational training for unemployed rural youth for “Mushroom Cultivation”. Total 22 training programmes with 220 beneficiaries and 55 demonstrations were also conducted during last 5 years. 586.50 kg of spawn was also produced and supplied by KVK.
After taking skill oriented training and demonstrations some youths adopted “White Button Mushroom Cultivation” as vocations for self employment during Oct. – March. These youths organized themselves in a group for marketing of mushroom. The details data is as under.

Marketing : All the mushroom growers pooled their produce which facilitated the bulk buyers to contact these growers. Thus marketing issue became easy. The KVK provided technical support on regular basis by visiting the units.
